On August 17th 2005, 800 industrials, jewellers, designers and final consumers attended the award party of the brazilian national IVth Tahitian Pearl Trophy.
The 10.000 square feet Museu da Casa Brasileira terrace was entirely redecorated with yellow and orange orchids and bromélias vases, wrapped in yellow, orange and red raw silk and cord fabrics, making the entire Fire and Ice theme soirée look like a golden enchanted room. From one side, sixteen windows displayed 31 unique pieces of amazing design that combined tahitian pearls and orange to red shades of Fire brazilian stones- citrine, fire opal, imperial topaz, rodolite, orange and red garnet – besides icy diamonds, diamonds, acqua marines, tourmalines steel, white gold, blue topazes that represented the Ice.
Both sides had the brazilian local touch very strong : exhuberating flora - palmtrees, bambous, phoenyxes- that teamed up with the local cuisine, a feast of original recipes from the North East of the country, the tradicional caipirinhas, and a striking 800 coconuts giant table, illuminated with icy blue lights. Brazilian live music added a relaxing mood to the party : all the national finalists received from Martin Coeroli, GIE Perles de Tahiti general manager and from Hécliton Santini Henriques, IBGM – Brazilian Gems and Metals Institute- president their award certificates.
The night was all mounted to show how magic and successful could be the mix of different creative talents, and as it was planned to happen in the midst of the most important jewellery brazilian show, the Feninjer. Visitors from allover Brazil could enjoy the glamourous aura of the TPT. This time, the event aimed exclusively the jewellery and jewellers world, as it united artists and industrials as never before. The first places will run for the international contest to be held in Vicenza, Italy, by June 2006.
